Season was reduced to four games in the spring due to COVID-19 ... was one of 15 Coyotes who started all four games, he at safety … finished as the team’s third-leading tackler with 29 stops … had eight tackles in each of the last three games … had five tackles, forced a fumble that led to a USD touchdown, and had a third-quarter interception in the Coyotes’ upset at No. 7 Illinois State in the season opener (2/27) … also had two pass breakups in that game … was not charged a year of eligibility due to NCAA rules related to the pandemic ... 2019
Played in 11 of 12 games and played a crucial role in two of the Coyotes’ five wins … blocked a punt that led to a touchdown in USD’s 14-6 win at Northern Colorado (9/21) … had a career-high nine tackles and forced two fumbles in the Coyotes’ 24-21 win against fifth-ranked SDSU on Senior Day (11/23) … the first forced fumble led to a USD touchdown that gave the Coyotes a 10-7 halftime lead … second fumble came on the USD 24-yard line that helped preserve a three-point, fourth-quarter lead … totaled 18 tackles on the year including four on special teams … had 1.5 tackles-for-loss
