Team captain … second-team all-MVFC honoree … first-team academic all-MVFC selection … was also one of 53 players named to the FCS Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team … led the Valley and ranked 43^rd nationally in total tackles with 106 … also led the team with two interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries … had double-digit tackles three times including a career-best 17 against Southern Illinois, the third-most by a Coyote since 2000 … of his 106 stops, 59 were solo, 7.0 were for loss and 3.0 were sacks … got his first collegiate interception in the season opener against 25^th-ranked Montana (8/31) … in the win at Missouri St, recovered a fumble that led to a 1-play touchdown drive, and on the next possession, returned an interception 40 yards to the 4 that set up another quick touchdown strike (10/12) … had a team-high 12 tackles including a sack in the team’s 24-21 win against No. 5 SDSU on Senior Day inside the DakotaDome … led the Coyotes in tackles in seven of 12 games ... First-team member of the MVFC All-Academic team … program’s first first-team pick since 2012 … also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors … one of 10 Coyotes who started all 11 games, he at middle linebacker … finished second on the team in tackles with 79 … also had one forced fumble, one recovery and two pass breakups … was the team’s leading tackler three times including a career-high 12 tackles against top-ranked North Dakota State (10/27) … had 11 tackles the game before against Youngstown State (10/20) ... 2017
Had his redshirt pulled in week seven and was out for the opening kickoff at No. 24 Illinois State (10/21) … saw time on special teams and at linebacker throughout the final seven games of the season … had 11 tackles in that span including 2.5 for loss … had two tackles on special teams … played a role in forcing a fumble at the goal line that sealed the Coyotes’ first-ever playoff win at No. 22 Nicholls (11/25) … had a season-high three tackles in that win ... MVFC Honor Roll member

Prep
Two-time first-team all-state performer for Mount Vernon who led the Mustangs to a state runner-up finish in 2015 and a trip back to the state semifinals in 2016 ... school’s all-time scoring leader with 406 points ... totaled 2,505 yards rushing with 52 touchdowns and had 1,110 yards receiving with 14 touchdowns ... was also one of the team’s top defenders ... finished high school career with 218 tackles, seven sacks and seven interceptions ... returned kicks and punts ... National Honor Society member ... also competes in wrestling, baseball and track and field for the Mustangs
