Vermillion, SD - South Dakota fell behind 13-0 early in the first half and couldn't catch up for a 68-50 loss to Nebraska-Omaha Friday, Feb. 4 in Omaha, NE. The Coyotes dropped to 10-9 overall and 3-7 in the North Central Conference. The Coyotes, who trailed 32-21 at halftime, shot 34.0 percent for the game hitting 16 of 47 attempts. UNO was 24-for-66 for 36.4 percent. The Mavericks also outrebounded USD, 48-36. South Dakota landed only one player in double scoring figures and that was Heather Nelson with 12 points. Julia Frie finished with nine points eight rebounds. Dawn Sudbeck had eight points with five apiece for Nicole Jaycox and Amanda Iverson. Jaycox was tops in rebounds with nine.
