The University of South Dakota Women's Tennis Team, has been ranked in the top-15 for the North Central Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Zejnic, who has a 17-5 record, is the second student-athlete in USD school history (Amanda Nicol, 2007) to earn a regional ranking in singles play from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). A sophomore from Hamilton, Ontario, Zejnic has led the Coyotes to a 16-6 record, a mark which ties the 2007 squad for the most wins in a season.
"I am very proud of Rijalda's (Zejnic) efforts on and off the court. She is an outstanding leader for our program. We hope that this ranking can provide momentum for the team as we look for even more improvement as the year progresses," said USD fourth-year women's tennis coach Malcolm Gilreath.
The ITA releases rankings four times a year.
