The men's team finished 16th out of 25 teams and were led by Rob Gregorie (Jr., Wakonda, S.D.) who finished in 55th place with a time of 27:11. Sean Fitzsimmons (Jr., Yankton, S.D.) was the second finisher for USD as he earned a 63rd place finish posting a time of 27:20.

The women's team was dominate as they finished in seventh place overall out of 25 teams. Nebraska finished first while Kansas State was second.

Ramsey Fitzsimmons (Jr., Yankton, S.D.) lead the Coyotes with a fourth place finish overall. She had a time of 21:47 and finished just behind runners from Kansas State, Nebraska, and Colorado Springs. The winner of women's the race posted a time of 21:02.

USD's Kelsey Maloney (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) finished 28th overall (23:35) and Sarah Wickman (So., Iowa City, Iowa) also earned a top-50 finish as she was 46th overall with a time of 24:02.

The next competition for both teams will be on Oct. 4 at the South Dakota State Classic in Brookings, S.D. The meet is set to start at 9:20 a.m.
