DENVER—Denver's women's tennis team handed South Dakota a 6-1 loss Saturday at the indoor Colorado Athletic Club-Monaco in Denver. South Dakota is now 7-9 on the season and 3-4 in Summit League play.
Sophomore Dragana Brankovic scored the Coyotes' lone point after taking Denver's Charlott Derbyshire into three sets at the No. 4 spot. Brankovic and Derbyshire split the first two sets, with each winning one at 6-2. Brankovic won the super tiebreaker at 10-6 to take the point.
Denver (13-8, 7-0 Summit) swept three doubles matches and won five of six single matches.
South Dakota concludes its regular season play at Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo., Sunday at 10 a.m.
