2016 Baldy Castillo Meet ResultsTEMPE, Ariz.—The Coyote men broke the school and state 4x100-meter relay record on the second day of Arizona State's Baldy Castillo Invitational at Joe Selleh Track.
Junior
Jack Thony, senior

Jeff O'Connell and sophomore
Gawain Williams combined to run 40.15 seconds in the event to set the records. The relay placed fourth at the meet.
Lewin also finished runner-up in his first 110-meter hurdle race of the season with a time of 13.87 seconds. The time is .03 off Lewin's personal best and .05 seconds from Terry Liggins' school record. Minnesota State's Myles Hunter, a two-time Division II All-American in the event, won the race in 13.70.
Junior
Ashley Thompson triple jumped 39-1 ¼ for second place. Thompson also took 11th in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.00 seconds.

Hunter Wilkes cleared 13-9 ¼ in the pole vault for runner-up. Redshirt-junior
Madison Mills cleared 13-1 ½ for fourth place and junior
Emily Brigham made 12-7 ½ for sixth.
Sophomore
Shanice Cannigan posted a trio of top-10 finishes. Cannigan took third in the high jump by making 5-3. She also finished less than a second off her personal best in the 400 hurdles, clocking 1:01.26 for fourth. Cannigan took seventh in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.46 seconds.
In uniform for the first time in a year, O'Connell added to the 4x100 relay record with a fifth-place finish in the long jump. O'Connell jumped 23-10 ¾.
Sophomore
Colette Christensen placed fifth in the high jump by clearing 5-1 and was sixth in the triple jump after leaping 37-8 ½.
Senior
Katie Wetzstein posted her second top-five performance of the meet on day two. Wetzstein took fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:11.18.
Senior
Analisa Huschle placed sixth in the long jump with a leap of 18-11 ¼.

Courtney Albrecht to sixth place in 46.67 seconds. The time is the sixth-best mark in USD history.
Senior
Peter Chapman cleared the bar at 16-6 ¾ to take seventh in the pole vault.
A trio of freshmen hurdlers in
Alanisse Williams,
Haley Bruggeman and
Alex Borchers posted top-10 finishes in the 400 hurdles. Williams crossed the line in 1:04.16 for ninth and Bruggeman clocked 1:04.73 for 10th. Borchers took 10th in 54.04.
South Dakota track and field has a bye weekend for the Easter holiday, resuming competition March 31 at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational in Austin, Texas.
