A Sunday matinee awaits the South Dakota men's basketball team with a 1 p.m. tip-off against Eastern Washington. The Harry Potter Day game is the first meeting between the two schools since the 2015-16 season.

Welcome to Harry Potter Day! The first 300 fans through the door will receive a Harry Potter themed Charlie Coyote shirt with faces from the books making an appearance. Fans are encouraged to dress up for the theme with prizes given away including a full set of Harry Potter books.

South Dakota has won three of its last four games with the only blemish coming against No. 1 Duke. Overall, the Coyotes are 8-3, the best start in the Division I era. Eastern Washington is 3-6, and has dropped its last three games but owns a victory over Stanford.

The Eagles
Under first-year head coach Shantay Legans, Eastern Washington owns victories over Stanford, Eastern Kentucky and Walla Walla. Bogdan Bliznyuk leads the team with 16.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He has a season-high of 31 points, a figure he hit in the Eagles last game, an 81-71 loss against San Francisco.

Eastern Washington ranks 48
th in the nation with 235 3-point field goal attempts, a mark that is led by Ty Gibson, who has had 51 of his 55 shots attempts come from long range.

The Coyotes
The Coyotes continue to be led by
Matt Mooney, who averages 16.3 points per game. In the Coyotes victory over Drake, the junior was one of four to score in double digits.
Triston Simpson tied a career-high with 18 points in the game while the other double-digit scorers were
Trey Burch-Manning and
Tyler Hagedorn. South Dakota shot lights out in the game at 56.9 percent from the field, including 58.1 percent in the second half.

rd in the nation with a 1.34 assist-to-turnover ratio, a figure that marks first in the Summit League. In fact, South Dakota sits 10
th in all of Division I with 177 total assists.

Through three meetings, South Dakota holds a 2-1 advantage in the series. The two squads have met in all three possible locations, home, away and neutral. Each team has won on its own home floor while USD picked up the victory on a neutral floor, 77-71 on Nov. 29, 2015.

Matt Mooney is four points from scoring 1,000 in his collegiate career. The Summit League transfer of the Year last season tallied 199 points at Air Force before adding 634 points to his total last season. With 163 points already to his credit this season, the Wauconda, Illinois, native has tallied 996 points.
