VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota women's basketball remains in second in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll announced over the holiday weekend. The Coyotes continue to receive votes in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls for the fourth-straight week.
The Coyotes (12-2) wrapped up the program's best nonconference record in NCAA Division I. South Dakota compiled a 10-game win streak during nonconference action and recorded a pair of wins over AP Top 25 teams, the first in the program's history. The Coyotes took down No. 23/22 Iowa State 64-59 at home and No. 22/24 Missouri 74-61 on the road.

Taylor Frederick have each earned Summit League Player of the Week honors during the nonconference season. Duffy paces a balanced Coyote offense at 13.6 points per game this season.
South Dakota begins Summit League play at 1 p.m. Sunday, tipping off with North Dakota State inside Scheels Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
