VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota captured 19 events at the USD Twilight on Tuesday evening at the Lillibridge Track Complex.
Sophomore
Travis Larson leaped a new personal best 6-10 ¾ to win the men's high jump. The height ties him for ninth in USD program history and moves him to fourth in this season's Summit rankings. Senior
Deshonn Brown took second with his jump of 6-6 ¾. The duo are a part of the nation's No. 2 high jump squad.
Brown also leaped 44-10 ¾ to win the triple jump.
The Coyotes swept first through sixth in the women's 100 hurdles in flying v formation, led by junior
Britny Kerr's time of 14.54 seconds. Junior

Alanisse Williams took second and third, respectively.

Blake Vande Hoef captured the long jump by more than two feet. He leaped a six-inch personal best 23-3 ¼ to move to seventh in the Summit League standings this season.

Mallory Fine cut their usual distance in half to clock new personal bests for the 400 meters, finishing first and second. Heinz clocked 56.79 seconds for the second-fastest time by a Coyote this season and eighth-fastest time in the Summit. Fine crossed the finish line in 58.12 seconds. Sophomore

Senior
Kimmy Peterson captured the pole vault with a height of 13-9 ¼. She also took three cracks at what would have been a personal-best bar of 14-3. Freshman
Josephina Wright was second in the competition.

Ethan Bray vaulted 17-6 ½ to take first in the men's pole vault. Freshman
Sean McClellan finished third.
Senior
Lara Boman captured the hammer throw with a mark of 188-4.
As the only Coyote to sweep two events on Tuesday, sophomore
Josie Kroger cleaned up in the women's 100 and 200 meters. Her winning 100-meter time was 12.49 seconds, while she clocked a personal best 25.89 seconds for the 200 meters.
Junior
Kianna Stewart crossed the finish line for the 1,500 meters in first. She clocked 4:44.99 for her season-opener in the event. The Coyotes swept the event with sophomore

Jacob Waymire finished runner-up in the men's race.

Haley Bruggeman clocked a league-leading time of 1:02.38 for the 400-meter hurdles. Gerberding finished third behind her.
South Dakota competes at the Drake Relays inside the big blue oval in Des Moines, Iowa, Thursday through Saturday.
