VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota women's basketball is ranked sixth for the second-straight CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll released Tuesday evening.
The Coyotes are ranked for the 65th consecutive CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll. South Dakota is also receiving votes in the Associated Press Top 25 released Monday.
South Dakota's return to the Sanford Coyote Sports Center after 48 days kicked off with a 9-0 run to start the series with Oral Roberts. The Coyotes (14-5, 10-2 Summit) swept the Golden Eagles with a pair of 20+ point wins.
The senior trio of
Hannah Sjerven,
Chloe Lamb and
Liv Korngable continue to pace the Coyotes this season. Sjerven averaging 17.1 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Lamb adds in 15.8 points per game and Korngable pitches in 14.4 points. Freshman
Maddie Krull's four-straight double-digit games has improved her average to 8.4 points a game.
The Coyotes host North Dakota State for its last regular season games this weekend. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
