VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota women's swimming and diving team won 10 of the 15 events contested on Saturday and posted a 141-101 win over Omaha in a unique relay dual in the DakotaDome Pool.
The Coyotes opened the dual by sweeping the two diving events while eight of the 13 swimming events, all relays, were also won by the hosts.
Stella Fairbanks, a freshman, earned her sixth individual victory of the season with a win in the one-meter diving event, scoring 246.25 points.
Haley Pederson, a senior, got her first win of the season by scoring 247.15 points in the three-meter competition.
South Dakota had 16 different swimmers capture a win with junior
Isabelle Davenport leading the way with four while
Maddie Gallagher had three. Contributing to two relay wins were

Kristen Quigley,
Meghan Atwell,
Lucie Anderson,
Cassie Ketterling and
Emily Johnson.
Davenport teamed with Anderson, Lavin and Gallagher to win the opening relay event of the dual, the 200 meter medley in 2:04.35.
Dregenberg, Quigley and
Teagan Haberkorn captured the 3 x 300 freestyle relay in 10:27.81.
Davenport joined
Taylor Rau and Atwell on the winning 3 x 100 breaststroke relay in 3:12.31.
Fairbanks, Davenport, Ketterling and
Lizzie Hunt combined to win the 400 IM relay in 4:40.14.
Gallagher,
Delaney Kottke and Johnson swam to first in the 3 x 50 free relay in 1:24.61.
Lavin,
Madilyn Sindelar and Ketterling raced to first in the 3 x 50 butterfly relay in 1:31.25.
Anderson, Davenport and Johnson won the 3 x 50 FIRM relay in 1:34.66.
Gallagher, Atwell, Quigley and Drengenberg combined to win the 750 crescendo relay in 8:26.44, a relay that had components of 50 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters.
The Coyote men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host South Dakota State on Friday in the DakotaDome Pool.
