PHOENIX – The South Dakota men's golf squad finished its second tournament of the season tying for 13
th place at the GCU Invitational Tuesday afternoon.

TEE OFF
- After heading into the final day of action tied for 40th place, Arends jumped 32 spots on the final day to finish in the top 10 at eighth place. He tied his career low of 68 on Tuesday and recorded his third top-10 finish of his career and the first of the season for the Yotes individually. He finished the third round 3-under and 4-under in the final two rounds.
- Senior Matt Tolan recorded three solid rounds of 69, 72 and 75 to finish with a 216 final score. He placed tied for 15th marking the first time this season, the Yotes have had two players in the top-15.
- Ben Hicks finished tied for 63rd after a 12-over 225 after three rounds of action in Arizona. His score of 225 is his lowest of the season.
- Competing as an individual for USD, Nick LaMotte finished tied for 80th place with a score of 230. He was able to cut four strokes off his round two score of 80. LaMotte competed in his first tournament of the season and as a Yote.
- Ian Johnston placed 85th after a three round score of 231. He shaved off 10 strokes from his round two score of 83 to record his lowest round of the season and of his career. His score of 231 is also a career best 54-hole score.
- Justin Kolb recorded three rounds in the upper 70s for a total score of 234. He finished tied for 88th place.
