OMAHA, Neb. – The South Dakota men's golf team recorded its highest placing of the season with a fourth place finish at the Stampede at the Creek at the Indian Creek Golf Course on Tuesday. Senior
Matt Tolan placed second for first runner-up honor and second top 10 placing of the season.

TEE OFF
- Tolan recorded his first runner-up of the season with a 4-over 220. The placing was his third top five placing and eighth top 10 placing. He ranked second against the field on par 4s with a 4.07 stroke average. He recorded 28 pars and 12 birdies which was the second most in three rounds at the tournament.
- Ben Hicks tied for 26th place after recording solid rounds of 80, 76 and 76 for a 16-over 232. He carded 32 pars and four birdies at the tournament
- Tate Arends tied for 38th place with fellow teammate Ryan Neff. Arends recorded rounds of 73, 80 and 80 for a 17-over 233.
- Neff recorded rounds of 75, 78 and 80. He did well on par 3s recording a 3.17 stroke average which ranked fifth against the field.
- Ian Johnston tied for 44th place after three round of action in Omaha. He recorded a total score of 235 on the afternoon. He recorded 29 pars and five birdies.
- Competing as an individual for South Dakota was Ben Daane. He recorded a 23-over 239 to tie for 50th place. He cut off seven strokes from round one to rounds three and six strokes from round one to round three.
- Justin Kolb tied for 63rd place after shooting rounds of 87, 89 and 75. He dropped 14 strokes off from round two to round three.
