The Series

The Coyotes
South Dakota kept the momentum rolling as they defeated Denver at home Thursday.
Kruz Perrott-Hunt had a career night, matching his career-high in points with 25 and brought down eight rebounds as well.
Boogie Anderson (12),
Mason Archambault (10),
Erik Oliver (10), and
Hunter Goodrick (10) followed Perrott-Hunt with double-digit scoring on the night to pace the offense. Goodrick earned his second collegiate double-double by pulling down 13 boards.
Â
South Dakota is 9-7 overall and 2-3 after back-to-back Summit League wins.
Kruz Perrott-Hunt upped his scoring average to 14.5 points after Thursday's victory.
Mason Archambault is second on the team with 12.8 points per game.
Hunter Goodrick leads the team in field goal percentage with an efficient 55.1 percent average while grabbing 8.4 rebounds a game.
Â
The Mavericks
Omaha was winless against Division I foes during non-conference play, but have started 2-5 against Summit foes. Head coach Derrin Hansen is in his 17th year at the helm of the program and has compiled a 251-250 record. The Mavericks are coming off the heels of giving first-place South Dakota State all they could handle, falling 95-86 in Omaha.
Â
Wayne State transfer Nick Ferrarini leads a balanced Mavs offense in scoring with 10.9 points per game despite coming off the bench. Felix Lemetti is second behind Ferrarini by averaging 9.9 points.
Â
One Last Thing
Facing a Denver squad that pressures the ball well, South Dakota committed just four turnovers on Thursday. The Coyotes lead the Summit and rank 33rd nationally in fewest turnovers per game (11.0). In that game, true freshman
Keaton Kutcher made his collegiate debut. Kutcher expects to boost a Coyote bench decimated by injury.
