VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota women's basketball is ranked No. 8 in this week's CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll released Tuesday evening.
 
The Coyotes have been ranked in the poll for 80 consecutive weeks dating back to the 2017-18 season.
 
South Dakota (14-4, 7-0) captured a pair of road wins last week at Denver and Omaha to reach 12 consecutive victories. Four of five Coyote starters averaged between 10 and 13 points in the Yotes two wins last week. USD's defense has allowed 44.4 points per game in the last five contests.
 
The Coyotes return to action at 7 p.m. Thursday as they host Western Illinois inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
