VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota women's basketball jumped up seven spots to No. 9 in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll released Tuesday evening.
In addition to USD's big jump back into the mid-major top-10, the Coyotes are no longer the only Summit League team represented in the poll. South Dakota State re-enters the poll at No. 25 ahead of Saturday's game, making the contest a top-25 mid-major matchup.
The Coyotes (11-4, 4-0) are riding a nine-game winning streak dating back to the Thanksgiving tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands. South Dakota's leading scorer
Chloe Lamb was named the Summit League Player of the Week on Monday after scoring 27 of USD's 65 points in a 65-38 win over North Dakota State.
South Dakota has been ranked in the mid-major top-25 for 78 consecutive weeks dating back to the 2017-18 season.
The Coyotes host the Jackrabbits for the first regular season meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Tickets are available on
