The Game
South Dakota is set to play its final home games of the 2021-22 season this weekend starting with St. Thomas on Thursday night. The Tommies are making their first ever trip to Vermillion in their first season as a Division I program.

The Series
USD won the only meeting between these two teams back on Jan. 22 in St. Paul, Minnesota. South Dakota shot nearly 60 percent from the field in that game en route to a 90-79 victory.

The Coyotes
The Coyotes are back in Vermillion after another four-games-in-eight-day stretch that included three straight on the road.
Mason Archambault shot 50 percent from the field and scored 25 points in Denver to lead the Coyotes to an 84-76 win to close out their road trip. South Dakota is now 15-10 on the season and 8-6 in conference play with four games remaining in the regular season.

In the first ever meeting between the Coyotes and Tommies, Archambault dropped a career-high 27 points to lead South Dakota. He was 9-of-13 from the field including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. Kruz Perrot-Hunt added in 22 points while
Tasos Kamateros contributed 14 points and
Boogie Anderson scored 13 points. USD beat St. Thomas at its own game back on Jan. 22 – the three-point shot. The Coyotes made 12-of-18 from downtown while St. Thomas made 10-of-26 from three-point range.

St. Thomas
St. Thomas is the second program to transition from NCAA Division III to Division I without a stop at Division II. The Tommies were voted out of their own conference and are wrapping up their first season in the Summit League. After beginning conference play 2-1, the Tommies have dropped their last 10 contests.

St. Thomas averages the second-most three-point field goals made in the conference at 11.2 per game. Johnny Tauer's team shares the ball at a rate of 12.52 assists per game, third best in the conference. They also have the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the conference at 1.53 assists per turnover.

One Last Thing
Perrott-Hunt averages nearly 17 points a game at home during conference play. Archambault (13.8),
Xavier Fuller (13.0), and Kamateros (11.5) also average double figures in the Summit League games inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
