Box Score CHENEY, Wash. – South Dakota women's tennis snapped its three-match losing streak with Friday's 5-2 win over Eastern Washington inside Thorpe Fieldhouse.

The Coyotes, after dropping the doubles points, responded with singles wins from its top four players, while
Eesha Varma earned a forfeit win at No. 6.

"Didn't play well in doubles and got down again. I asked the team to respond and they did."

Bea Havlickova, a freshman, earned a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles, moving her individual mark to 3-1 during the dual season.

Habiba Aly, a fifth-year senior, picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles, evening her dual mark at 3-3 this spring.

Jana Lazarevic, a fifth-year senior, gutted out a three-set win with a 7-5 third set to clinch the victory for the Coyotes.

Estella Jaeger, a redshirt junior, moved to 4-1 on the season with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles.

Anna Marija Bukina, a senior, dropped a hard-fought three-set match at No. 5 singles.

"Amazing job in singles taking care of business and beating a good EWU team," said Barnett. "Top four played so well taking care of their court and the team energy was something we needed. Huge clinch by Jana getting by a tough opponent.Â
