Coyotes head to Kansas for Mid-Week Challenge

The Meet

South Dakota track and field travels to Topeka, Kansas, for the Ichabod Mid-Week Challenge Thursday hosted at Washburn University's Indoor Athletic Facility. Field events begin at 1 p.m. with running events starting at 3 p.m.

The Coyotes will also send a contingent of distance runners to the SDSU Classic on Friday evening to race inside the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, S.D. Races get underway at 5 p.m.

The Coyotes

A pair of DakotaDome records were broken and South Dakota set 38 season-best performances on Saturday at the USD Alumni Meet on the Mildred J. Hillenbrand Memorial Track inside the DakotaDome. Second-year freshman Erin Kinney broke the DakotaDome and school record in the 60 meters with a clocking of 7.47 seconds. The other DakotaDome record was broken by alumna Lara Boman in the weight throw. The women's and men's 4x200-meter relays set South Dakota program records at the meet. Hannah Young, Moe Bridgen, Anna Robinson and Kinney teamed up in the women's relay with a tie of 1:41.38. Ardell Inlay, Dylan Kautz, Demar Francis and Virgil Steward clocked a record time of 1:29.60 on the men's side. It marked South Dakota's lone home meet of the indoor season.
