VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota women's basketball moved up another spot to fifth in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll released Tuesday night.
The Coyotes have been ranked in the poll for 86 consecutive weeks dating back to the 2017-18 season. USD is ranked inside the top-five of the poll for the third time this season.
South Dakota (24-5, 17-1) captured its third Summit League regular season title in the last five years on Monday night. The Coyotes are led by a trio of super seniors in
Chloe Lamb,
Hannah Sjerven and
Liv Korngable each averaging between 14 and 16 points. Korngable scored her 1,000th career point on Thursday night against Kansas City, giving South Dakota three 1,000-point scorers on the floor.
The Coyotes rematch with Western Illinois in their first game of the Summit League Tournament at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
