VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota women's triathlon earned an at-large berth to the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships held Nov. 11 in Tempe, Arizona.
 
The Coyotes will compete in "Heat 1" of the national meet and are seeded as the ninth-ranked team. The championship's first heat will consisted of the top-three ranked teams from each region, the next six highest ranked teams regardless of regional designation and the top-15 individuals on non-qualified teams.
 
South Dakota placed fifth at the West Regional Championship last Saturday in Springfield, Missouri, led by Kayla Ribbink's all-region performance.
