South Dakota completed the first day of action at the Advance Partners Intercollegiate in Palm City, Florida, Sunday afternoon. The Coyotes opened the tournament with a 304 and sit in 14th place after round one.

Ben Hicks had the best day for the Coyotes on Sunday. Hicks finished his round with a one-over par 73. He had six birdies on the day with five of those coming on the front. Hicks ended the front by knocking down three straight birdies to get to two-under through nine. A birdie on the final hole of the day put him at one-over and in a tie for 16th place individually.

Max Schmidtke and
Bryce Hammer both shot 76's in day one. Schmidtke sank his one birdie of the day on the par-three eight hole while Hammer had two on the day at the par-three fourth hole and the par-four 11th hole. Both players are in a tie for 44th place heading into round two tomorrow.

Hunter Rebrovich and
Nick LaMotte each carded 79's in round one. Rebrovich had four birdies on the day with three of them coming on the last five holes of the round. LaMotte had three on the day with two of them coming on the back nine. Both are tied for 82nd place individually after one round of play.

Playing as an individual,
Logan Hamak had a solid opening round with a two-over par 74. Hamak's lone birdie of the day came on the par-five ninth hole to close out the front. He is in a tie for 25th place after day one.

Round two gets underway at 7:30 a.m. ET for South Dakota. LaMotte will be the first one off the tee for the Coyotes in round two followed by Rebrovich at 7:40 a.m. ET, Hammer at 7:50 a.m. ET, Schmidtke at 8 a.m. ET, and Hicks at 8:10 a.m. Hamak begins his second round at 8:20 a.m. ET.
