South Dakota opened the first round of play at the Bandon Dunes Championship with a 316 team score. The Coyotes are in 16th place after the opening 18 holes.
Ben Hicks posted the best score for South Dakota on Sunday and is in the top-25 after one round.

Hicks scored a four-over par 76 in the first round Sunday. He had two birdies on the day on the par-three sixth hole and the par-five 18th hole. Hicks is tied for 24th individually after the first day.

The remaining lineup of
Max Schmidtke,
Bryce Hammer,
Hunter Rebrovich, and
Nick LaMotte all scored eight-over par 80's. Schmidtke and LaMotte had one birdie on the day while Hammer and Rebrovich had two birdies. All four are tied for 66th place after Sunday's round.

Ryan Neff recorded an 88 in round one playing as an individual. Neff is in a tie for 108th place after the first round.
