USD in Magnolia State for Tunica National Intercollegiate

The South Dakota men's golf team is set to compete in one final event before the Summit League Championships. The Coyotes will travel to Tunica, Mississippi, for the Tunica National Intercollegiate hosted by Arkansas State. Tunica National Golf Course will host the tournament and play as a par 72 covering 7,204 yards.

The Coytoes are one of 12 teams competing in this event. Oral Roberts and USD are the two teams representing the Summit League in this event. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.

South Dakota's lineup for the tournament will feature Hunter Rebrovich at the No. 1 bag followed by Ben Hicks, Max Schmidtke, Nick LaMotte, and Logan Hamak. Ian Johnston will play as an individual. Johnston's first action of the spring came in the Duel at The Bluffs last week against SDSU where he placed in a tie for seventh with a 141 overall score. Tee times for round one will begin at 7:50 a.m. with Johnston the first to tee off.

The Coyotes most recently competed in the Duel at The Bluffs last week in Vermillion. USD's two teams came in second and third place at the event with a combined total of 23-under through 36 holes. LaMotte posted the best two rounds for South Dakota with a 68 in round one and a 64 in round two. His second round score tied for the lowest round in program history and his 36-hole score of 132 set a program record as well.

Prior to the duel, South Dakota competed in the Western Illinois Invite at TPC Deere Run course. USD claimed a runner-up finish with an 887 three-round score. Rebrovich led the team with a fourth-place finish. It was the highest placement for him in his Coyote career.
