AUSTIN, Texas—South Dakota sophomore
Danii Anglin garnered second-team All-America accolades in the women's high jump on Saturday night at the NCAA Championships inside Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Anglin finished 14th with a second-attempt make of 5-11 ¼ (1.81m) in the high jump. It was a tough high jump competition on Saturday night, with 23 of the 24 women advancing on past the first two bars. Anglin was one of 19 women to make 5-11 ¼. She went out at 6-0 ½ (1.84m), a height just two centimeters below her collegiate best.
Hailing from Spring Mount, Jamaica, Anglin garners second-team All-America for the third time of her career. Anglin also placed 14th at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships one year ago.
South Dakota finished with 8.5 points in the women's team competition. Fourth-year sophomore
Gen Hirata was third and sophomore
Marleen Mülla tied for sixth in the women's pole vault on Thursday night to tally the Coyotes' points.
