VERMILLION, S.D. – The South Dakota women's tennis team is picked to finish second in the Summit League behind nine-time defending champion Denver according to the preseason poll announced Tuesday.
The Coyotes earned 27 points in the voting done by league head coaches as Denver had 36 points, including six first-place votes.

The Coyotes return six players from last season's 4-15 team and 2-5 in the Summit League.

Bea Havlickova, a junior, was named to the Players to Watch list for the spring season. Havlickova was named to the Summit League First Team after posting a 14-12 overall mark at No. 1 singles that included a 4-3 record in league play.
