VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota men's basketball head coach Eric Peterson has announced the addition of three student-athletes to the 2025 recruiting class in Vince Buzelis, Uzziah Buntyn and Jesse McIntosh.
 
Vince Buzelis | Guard | 6-4 |  Willowbrook, Ill. | Hinsdale Central
Vince Buzelis was an All-Conference honoree for Hinsdale Central while averaging 11.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Red Devils. Buzelis also helped lead his team to the National Championship Semifinals and was a member of the U16 Lithuania National Team. While playing for his club team, Buzelis averaed 21.2 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists per game. The son of Aidas Buzelis and Kristina Jankauskaite plans to major in business at South Dakota.
 
Uzziah Buntyn | Guard | 6-0 | Round Rock, Texas | Stony Point
Uzziah Buntyn helped the lead Stony Point to a Texas High School State Championship Runner-Up finish. Buntyn has been a three-time First Team All-District and All-Region selection for the Tigers. Buntyn has excelled in the classroom as well as the hardwood, earning three Academic All-District honors as well as being a member of the National Honors Society. Buntyn also runs track and field for the Tigers. The son of Paul and Kym Buntyn plans to major in criminal justice at South Dakota.


Jesse McIntosh | Guard | 6-7 | Melbourne, Australia | Ivanhoe Grammar School
Jesse McIntosh will join the Coyotes program from Melbourne, Australia where he has represented and helped Australia win the U18 Asia Cup. McIntosh has played for Victoria for seven years and averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds at the U20 Nationals while playing for Victoria. McIntosh also serves as a training player for Melbourne United, a NBL team in Australia. The son of Shawn and Jane McIntosh plans to major in business at South Dakota.
 
The three players will enroll and compete for South Dakota in the fall of 2025.
