Coyotes play pair of matches in Sioux Falls

South Dakota women's tennis team heads into week three of the spring season with a pair of matches inside Huether Family Match Pointe. Montana State (3-1) comes to Sioux Falls on Friday while Drake (2-2) is the opponent on Sunday. 

SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA

The Coyotes are 2-2 after splitting a pair of matches in each of the first two weekends of the season. 

Sophomore Anna Medvyedyeva is 3-1 on the dual season while Grace Chadick, a junior, and Selena Bird, a sophomore, are each 2-1.

Chadick leads the team with 11 singles victories on the season while Bird has 10.

SCOUTING MONTANA STATE

The Bobcats have posted wins over North Dakota, Seattle and Utah Tech while suffering a setback to Utah.

Marta Garcia-Reboredo, a junior from Spain, is the No. 1 singles player. 

SCOUTING DRAKE

Drake has posted wins over Milwaukee and Marquette while dropping contests to Kansas State and Wichita State. 

Ines Stephani and Rebecca Ehn were named Missouri Valley Conference Doubles Players of the Week after posting a pair of wins over Milwaukee and Marquette at No. 2 doubles.

Stephani, a senior, won both of her singles matches at No. 1 slot.
