The South Dakota women's tennis team heads west for a pair of matches inside the Wyoming Tennis Complex against Wyoming on Friday and Idaho on Sunday.
SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA
The Coyotes are 3-4 and dropped their only match last weekend against Minnesota.Â
Grace Chadick, a junior, is 3-2 on the season at No. 5 and 4-2 in the spring dual season.Â
Anna Medvyedyeva, a sophomore, is 4-3 on the dual season.Â
SCOUTING WYOMING
Wyoming won both of its matches last weekend, defeating UTEP (4-0) and Northern Arizona (4-3) to improve to 5-4 on the season.
The Cowgirls won the Mountain West regular season title in 2023 at 9-1 and were 16-11 overall, earning a berth in the ITA NIT Championships.
Sophie Zehender, a senior and three-time All-MW selection, is the No. 1 singles player and owns a 3-4 individual record.
Noesjka Brink, a senior, won an ITA Regional singles title in the fall and has a 5-3 dual record and is 14-7 overall in singles play.
SCOUTING IDAHO
Idaho split a pair of matches last weekend in Phoenix, falling to Grand Canyon (4-0) and defeating UC Riverside (4-3). The Vandals are 3-2 overall heading into their Saturday match with Wyoming.
Selin Sepken is the team's No. 1 singles player and is 1-2 at that spot and 2-3 overall this spring dual season.Â
