BRANSON, Mo. – The South Dakota women's golf team will compete in the Ozarks National Invitational in Branson, Missouri this week. The three-day, three-round event will take place Monday through Wednesday at the Ozarks National Golf Course.
All seven members of the Coyote women's golf team will compete in the event. The Coyotes' official lineup will feature
Ella Greenberg,
Emma Henningsson,
Catie Nekola,
Alexa Wingnean and
Lara Gehring.
Avery O'Donnell and
Ava Schroeder will also compete as individuals.
The event is hosted by Missouri State University. The Coyotes join Oral Roberts as the two schools representing the Summit League in this event. Several schools from the Missouri Valley will compete as well. The full field includes USD, Oral Roberts, Creighton, Indiana State, Lindenwood, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Toledo, Northern Iowa and Bellermine.
Rounds one and two will tee off at 10am on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Round three will tee off at 9am Wednesday. The Ozarks National Golf Course is a par-71 course designed by famous golf course architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Among the unique features of the course are a 400-foot wooden beam and plank bridge, which connects the tee box and fairway of the 13
th hole that stands 60 feet above a flowing creek.
