Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays
AUSTIN, Texas—South Dakota fifth-year senior
Gen Hirata vaulted the fourth-best mark in the nation in the women's pole vault at the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday inside Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Hirata cleared the 14-1 ¼ (4.30m) bar on a third-attempt make to place fifth in the Texas Relays' university elite women's pole vault section. She cleared the same bar as the second through fourth-place finishers in the competition. Hirata's height ties for fourth in the nation this outdoor season.

Sara Reifenrath narrowly missed the South Dakota program record in the 4x100-meter relay. The Coyotes clocked 44.68 seconds for sixth place in the Carlette Guidry 4x100-meter final. USD was five-hundredths of a second off the record set in 2023.
Fifth-year senior
Marshall Faurot opened his outdoor season with a seventh-place finish in the university elite men's pole vault section at the Texas Relays. He vaulted 17-2 ¾ (5.25m) in the competition.
The Coyotes also qualified for the Sanya Richards-Ross Invitational 4x400-meter relay. The quartet of Reifenrath, Pulse, Kinney and junior
Anna Robinson took eighth in the race with a time of 3:47.08.
Texas State Bobcat Invitational
SAN MARCOS, Texas—Freshman
Carsen Staehr opened the outdoor season with a seventh-place finish in the triple jump at the Bobcat Invitational Saturday inside the Texas State Track & Field Complex.
Staehr leaped a wind-legal 48-10 (14.88m) for seventh in the triple jump. His mark jumps right into the Coyote Top 10 as the sixth-best mark in USD program history.
Junior
Danii Anglin took seventh in the high jump to open the outdoor slate, clearing 5-5 ¼ (1.66m).

Kenzie Campbell took 10th in the hammer throw with a mark of 173-4 (52.84m).
Sophomore
Mikael Grace finished in 10th place in the 110-meter hurdles with a wind-legal time of 14.28 seconds. His mark ranks sixth in USD program history.
South Dakota hosts the USD Early Bird starting next Friday at the Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion, South Dakota.
