Coyotes to Compete in the SU Invite at Chambers Bay

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The South Dakota men's golf team will compete in the SU Invite at Chambers Bay this week.  The two-day, three-round event will take place Monday and Tuesday at the Chambers Bay Golf Course near Tacoma, Washington.

Six members of the USD golf team will compete in the event.  The Coyotes' official lineup will feature Nick LaMotte, Max Schmidtke, Logan Hamak, Cole Witherow and Joe RohlwingRyan Neff will compete as an individual.

The event is hosted by Seattle University.  The Coyotes are one of two Summit League schools competing in the event along with St. Thomas.  Five Canadian schools will participate as well.  The full field includes USD, St. Thomas, Seattle U, Gonzaga, Oregon State, Sacramento State, UC-Riverside, Sacred Heart, Idaho, UC-San Diego, Northern Colorado, Tarleton State, George Mason, Central Michigan, Seton Hall, University of British Columbia, Grays Harbor, Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria, and the University of Fraser Valley.
 
Round one will tee off at 10am central time (8am local) on Monday.  Round two will immediately follow the conclusion of the first round.  Round three will tee off at 10am central time (8am local) on Tuesday.  The Chambers Bay golf course is a renowned public course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr located on the Puget Sound.  It hosted the US Open in 2015 and has hosted several other USGA events as well.
