VERMILLION, S.D.—The women's 4x100-meter relay broke South Dakota's school record and the Coyotes captured 21 event titles on Saturday at the South Dakota Challenge held at Lillibridge Track Complex and Gottsleben Field.

Sara Reifenrath broke South Dakota's school record and the Lillibridge Track Complex record with a clocking of 44.39 seconds. The quartet's victorious mark ranks 23rd in the NCAA this spring.
Junior
Joe Lynch cleared a personal record height 7-0 ½ (2.15m) to win the men's high jump competition. His mark leads the Summit League and ranks 15th in the NCAA this spring. It's also the fourth-best mark outdoors at USD all-time.
Senior
Marshall Faurot vaulted a season-best height of 17-8 ½ (5.40m) to move to 10th in the nation this spring.
Freshman
Carsen Staehr leaped a personal best of 50-6 ¾ (15.41m) to win the men's triple jump. His mark is a Lillibridge Track Complex record, second in USD program history and ranks 24th in the nation this season. Junior
Jayden Green also posted a personal record mark in the competition, leaping 48-11 (14.91m).
Kinney followed up the 4x100 performance by winning the open 100 meters in a wind-legal 11.31 seconds. The time moves her to 27th in the nation this spring. Her time is three-hundredths off her school record in the event.
Reifenrath crossed the finish line in 53.28 seconds to win the 400 meters, missing her school record time in the event by six-hundredths of a second. Her time ranks 38th in the nation.
Improving her Summit-leading mark in the women's shot put, senior
Meredith Clark launched the shot put a personal best of 52-8 (16.05m) on Saturday. Her mark ranks second in USD history and 41st in the NCAA this spring.
Junior
Averi Schmeichel took the tape in a personal record time of 13.68 seconds to win the 100-meter hurdles. She ranks second in the Summit League this spring.
With a winning leap just a half-inch shy of his personal best set a week ago at Lillibridge, sophomore
Bennett Schwenn captured the men's long jump in 25-1 ¼ (7.65m).
This marked the first time the Coyote men have had athletes surpass 25 feet in long jump, 50 feet in triple jump and seven feet in the long jump on the same weekend.
Junior
Lauren Meyer took first in the women's triple jump with a personal record distance of 40-3 ¼ (12.27m). The mark ties for the Summit League lead this spring.
South Dakota athletes – alumnae, unattached and attached – took the top-eight performances in the women's pole vault. Alumna Emily Grove won the competition with a height of 14-7 ¼ (4.45m).
Cassidy Mooneyhan and
Marleen Mülla, who are both redshirting the spring, tied for second with a height of 13-7 ¼ (4.15m). Senior
Jaidyn Garrett was the top collegian and fourth overall with a height of 13-7 ¼ (4.15m).

Ken-Mark Minkovski recorded a winning time of 40.76 seconds.
Adegbite won the open 100 meters in a season best 10.49 seconds. The time moves him to seventh in USD program history.
In her outdoor season opener, junior
Sammy Neil captured the long jump in 18-11 ¼ (5.77m).
Redshirt-sophomore
Tristan Gray, whose comeback story was featured in this week's Mick's Minute, won the men's shot put with a season best throw of 55-7 ½ (16.95m).
The Coyotes swept the men's and women's 800 meters. Freshman
Alexander Wear used a strong closing kick to win the 800 meters in 1:54.38 on the men's side. Senior
Madison Jochum captured the women's 800 meters in 2:16.82.
Freshman
Hadley Cheatum won the 400-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 1:04.25.
Sophomore
Maci Steuber was the first across the line in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a clocking of 11:59.53.
The women's 4x400 capped off the running events by winning the event in 3:49.63. South Dakota's relay consisted of junior

Jacy Pulse and
Brandy Pulse, and Jochum.
Competing unattached,
Lydia Knapp won the discus in 166-7 (50.79m). Clark added to her shot put win to finish as the top attached collegian in the discus with a mark of 149-6 (45.57m).
The day started off with junior
Kenzie Campbell finishing as the top collegian in the hammer throw and second overall. She launched the hammer a personal best of 186-7 (68.53m), which ranks fifth in USD program history.
Junior
Thomas Nikkel was the top collegian in the men's 400 meters with a season-best performance of 48.90 seconds.
South Dakota makes its annual trip to California next weekend for the Mt. SAC Relays. Action begins Thursday in Walnut, California.
