PREVIEW: South Dakota hosts Alumni Meet to resume 2025-26 Indoor season

VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota track and field is back inside the DakotaDome Saturday, hosting the USD Alumni Meet beginning at noon.
 
MEET INFORMATION
The Alumni Meet is schedule to get underway at noon Saturday and features four programs from the region in competition. Doors on the East side of the DakotaDome open for spectator entry at 11 a.m. with tickets being $12 for adults and $7 for kids. Fan seating is on the East side of the DakotaDome.
 
Action in field events beings at Noon with the women's weight throw, men's pole vault, and women's long jump. Track events start at 12:30 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdle prelims. Events are scheduled to conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m.
 
HOW TO FOLLOW ALONG
Live Results of the action will be provided by Dakota Timing. A live stream will be provided on the Summit League Network powered by Midco Sports Plus.
 
FOR ALUMNI AND FANS
USD Track and Field invite Alumni to enter in the co-ed 4x200 relay that follows the conclusion of the track events on Saturday. The Future Coyotes 60-meter dash, featuring Charlie Coyote, will also be held after the meet. More fan and alumni information can be found here.
 
SUMMIT LEAGUE PRESEASON POLL
The Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll was released prior to the opening weekend of the season in December. The Coyotes were selected third in the men's poll and tied for third in the women's poll.
 
The Coyotes named athletes to watch, announced with the preseason polls, are four freshmen looking to make their impact right away. On the men's side, Braxton Smith and Caelan Harland are the Yote athletes to watch. On the women's side, Kenya Harris and Kali Ringstmeyer are the athletes to watch. You can read more here.
 
RETURNERS TO WATCH
South Dakota has a pair of returning athletes who've made their mark on the program so far in their careers.
 
Marleen Mülla has five all-American honors in her career and will have a chance to have more all-American honors than any Coyote in the program's Division I era by the end of her senior season.
 
Anna Willis earned her first career all-American honor during the 2024-25 outdoor season. This winter she will look to make her first appearance at the indoor championships.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Coyotes have one meet under their belts for this season, competing at the SDSU Holiday over the first weekend of December.
 
USD won 10 events at the meet, including a pair of event titles by Matayah YellowMule. Top 10 marks were set by Ethan Baessler (60m) and Kali Ringstmeyer (60m). More information on the Coyotes' performances at the SDSU Holiday can be found here.
