VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota track and field hosted its annual USD Alumni Meet Saturday afternoon inside the DakotaDome, with 17 individual titles being claimed by the Coyotes.

For the second straight meet,
Matayah YellowMule claimed both the long and triple jump titles for USD. She won the long jump with a season's best 19-2 ½ (5.85m), then took the triple jump with a season's best 38-11 (11.86m).
Rylie Hansen entered the Coyote Top 10 in the long jump with a 19-1 ¼ mark that was good for second.
Mae Siegel took fourth in 17-8. Siegel was runner-up to YellowMule in the triple jump at 37-8 with
Kenya Harris taking third at 37-5 ¼.

YellowMule wasn't the only Coyote to win multiple events, as freshman
Kali Ringstmeyer won the 60- and 200-meters. Her 60-meter 7.58 is a personal best that is fifth on the Coyote Top 10.
Jacie Rexilius took third in 7.77, followed by
Sophie Amin (7.79),
Jordyn Larsen (7.84), and
Jennifer Heilman (7.87). Ringstmeyer also won the 200-meters in 25.55, followed by Rexilius (25.69) and
Jennifer Heilman (26.67) in second and third.

In the women's 60 hurdles,
Sophie Amin earned the top spot with an 8.68 time.
Brei Christoffer ran 9.03 for third and Harris a personal best 9.07 for fourth. The Coyote women also took the top four spots in the 400, led by
Berkeley Engelland (57.67).
Avery Winter (58.91),
Claudia Werner (59.60) and
Brandy Pulse (59.91).

Ethan Baessler ran 6.84 in the men's 60-meter final to take the event win.
Jaden Damiano, who won the 60 hurdles in 7.95, took third in the 60-meters in 7.16.
Mikael Grace took second in the 60 hurdles in 8.05 and won the 200-meters in 22.09.
Braxton Smith took second in 23.05 in the 200 and
Jett Tingelhoff fifth in 23.23.

Peyton Svehla won the mile in 5:14.93.
Alexis Pagel took third in 5:22.92 and
Ella Ford fourth in 5:24.01.

In field events,
Joe Lynch (6-7) and
Maddie Olson (5-5 ¼) swept the high jump titles.
Bennett Schwenn won the long jump at 23-2 ¾ (7.08m), with teammate
Carsen Staehr taking third at 22-0 ¼ (6.71m). Staehr took second in the triple with a season's best 48-2 and Schwenn took fourth at 46-8 ¾.

The Coyote men's pole vault squad took the top four spots, led by
Caelan Harland setting a new personal best of 17-6 ½ (5.35m) and
Wyatt Stewart also clearing that height. Both vaulters are now tied for fifth in the Coyote Indoor Top 10.
Beau Karst and
Dylan Curtis cleared 16-6 ¾ for third and fourth.

In the women's pole vault, Coyote alumna Emily Grove cleared 14-7 ¼ (4.45m) for the top spot. Fellow alums Jeff O'Connell (long jump), Holly Gerberding (long jump), and Kamerlyn Lamer (triple jump) competed as well.

Marleen Mülla took second in the pole vault at 13-11 ¼, with
Anna Willis placing third at the same height. Elisa Aitken cleared 12-9 ½ for fourth and
Kailee Swart 12-3 ½ for fifth.

Three South Dakota throwers set personal bests in the men's shot put.
Brandon Vander Sluis took home the top spot in 57-11 ¼ (17.66m), followed by
Tristan Gray, who was just a quarter of an inch behind Vander Sluis at 57-11.
Ian Blowe took third in 50-0 ¾ (15.26m), also a personal best. Vander Sluis is now fifth on the Coyote Indoor Top 10 in the shot, with Gray now sixth.

Gray took second in the weight throw at 56-8, followed by
Quincy Warren at 54-5 ¼ and
Carson McInerney at 47-3 ¾ in third and fourth.

Delaney Smith swept the women's throwing titles, winning the shot put in 44-1 ½ and the weight throw in 63-0.
Lillian Allison took third in the shot put (41-6 ½).

Riley Ruhaak took third in the mile, running 4:20.49.
Levi Hill took fifth in 4:21.50.
Mason Weidner ran 54.29 for fourth in the 400. In relays, the Coyote women's team of Engelland, Harris, Pagel, and Werner ran 4:02.25 and the team of
Aubrey O'Hare,
Hadley Cheatum, Pule, and
Eva Hartzell ran 4:05.60. The men's squad of Smith,
Alexander Wear, Tingelhoff and
Townsend Barton ran 3:27.48.
