SIOUX CITY, Iowa – South Dakota track and field made its return to Elwood Olsen Stadium for the Sioux City Relays Friday afternoon, taking home seven event titles.

TOP PERFORMERS
• Competing close to his hometown of Le Mars,
Brandon Vander Sluis brought home two top three finishes with two personal bests.
• He won the shot put with a 60-6 ¾ outdoor best that is fourth on USD's outdoor top 10. He ranks first in the Summit League and 26
th in the NCAA.
• He placed third in the discus with a best of 170-10, which is 10
th on USD's top 10.
• Coyote throws had strong performances outside of Vander Sluis' day.
Delaney Smith won the women's hammer with a personal best 196-2. That is third on the USD outdoor top 10 and is 44
th in the NCAA this spring.

Berkeley Engelland swept the 400 and 800 titles Friday with teammate
Ellie Thomas placing runner-up in both events.
