Distance Medley school record falls at Drake Relays Saturday

DES MOINES, Iowa ­— South Dakota women's distance medley school record was broken by over six seconds at the Drake Relays Saturday.
 
TOP PERFORMERS
• The DMR squad of Jade Ecoffey, Berkeley Engelland, Ellie Thomas and Geneva Timmerman set the school record, running 11:33.63 Saturday.
• The men's 4x400 squad of Evan Janzen, Andrew Atwood, Tommy Hensley, and Braxton Smith ran 3:11.93 to win the University Division. That time ranks fifth in school history and is the fastest USD 4x400 time in over 23 years.
• The men's sprint medley relay team of Ethan Baessler, Janzen, Smith, and Mason Sindelar ran 3:23.20, ties for the fifth best time in program history.
• The men's DMR team of Natnael Kifle, Andrew Atwood, Hensley, and Isaac Ochoa ran the second best time in school history in 9:47.87.
