Jack Johnson Classic ResultsMINNEAPOLIS—South Dakota senior
Teivaskie Lewin tied his school record from the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships en route to winning the 60-meter hurdles at the Jack Johnson Classic in Minneapolis Saturday.
Lewin clocked 7.77 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, a mark .03 seconds shy of the meet record. Lewin was also 0.34 seconds ahead of second place.
Junior
Tyler Frank cleared his personal-best bar of 6-10 ¾ for the second consecutive meet. Frank finished runner-up.
Also leaping to a personal best, junior
Ashley Thompson triple jumped 39-9 ¼ for third place. Thompson also took eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.03.
Senior
Analisa Huschle clocked 7.74 seconds to place third in the 60 meters. She led freshman
Karina Dufoe to seventh in 7.86.
With a throw of 47-4 ¼, senior
Meghan Dennis recorded a new personal best and placed fifth.
Seniors
Peter Chapman and
Erik Jorgensen took fourth and fifth in the pole vault. Chapman vaulted 16-2 ¾ and Jorgensen cleared 15-9.
Sophomore
Brooke Ireland won the second heat of the 600 meters in 1:35.58. Her time would have placed fifth in the championship race. Ireland was two seconds off Emma Erickson's school record 1:33.60.
Sophomore
Alex Williams clocked 50.37 for seventh in the 400-meter championship race and eighth place overall.
Coyote heptathletes freshman
Hunter Leighton and sophomore
Garrett Anderson finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the heptathlon.
The Coyotes travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., for the Air Force Team Challenge on Friday.
