Madison, Wis. — The South Dakota cross country teams are heading to Madison, Wisconsin where they will be racing against numerous top ranked college cross country teams on Saturday, October 19.
 
Both the men and women will be facing a tough field of competition. On the men's side there are 18 teams out of the 30 nationally ranked by the USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll that will be competing in the upcoming meet. No. 3 University of Arkansas, No. 4 Iowa State University, and No. 5 University of Notre Dame will be included in the lineup.
 
On the women's side, No. 2 Brigham Young University, No. 3 University of Washington, and No. 4 University of Notre Dame will be competing against the Coyotes. A total of 19 of the top nationally ranked teams will racing at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals meet.
 
The meet will be held at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course and consists of two heats of racing. The Coyotes will be racing in the second heat of the day, with the women's 6k starting at 12:40 p.m. and the men's 8k beginning at 1:20 p.m.
