VERMILLION, S.D.—It was another exciting day in the center of the DakotaDome oval at the USD Alumni Meet.
Juniors
Cassidy Mooneyhan and
Marleen Mülla both cleared 14-2 (4.32m) in the women's pole vault competition to move to 12th in the NCAA standings. They both tie for the Summit lead as well. Mooneyhan, who equaled her personal best with the height, won the competition by making the height in fewer attempts. Senior
Gen Hirata placed third in 13-2 ¼ (4.02m). All three women are returning all-Americans in the pole vault.
Another returning All-American posting a Summit-leading mark today was junior
Danii Anglin in the women's high jump. She cleared 5-10 ¾ (1.80m) to move to the top of the Summit and rank 26th nationally. Sophomore
Matayah YellowMule took second with a make of 5-7 ¾ (1.72m).
Freshman
Carsen Staehr moved to the top of the Summit charts in the men's triple jump with a winning leap of 48-4 ¾ (14.75m). He moves into the Coyote Top 10 with the mark, recording the eighth-best jump in USD history. Junior
Jayden Green and sophomore
Bennett Schwenn took second and third, respectively. Green leaped 46-7 ¼ (14.21m) and Schwenn recorded a mark of 46-2 (14.07m).
Wrapping up two days of competition in the men's heptathlon, the Coyotes had personal best point totals all around. Junior
Derek Eidsness won the event with a league-leading 5,034 points. That mark ranks fourth in USD program history. Sophomores
Noel Spence and
Townsend Barton both cracked the Coyote Top 10 as well. Spence recorded a total of 4,921 points and Barton tallied 4,704 points.
Fourth-year junior
Sara Reifenrath followed up last night's 200-meter victory by capturing the 400 meters in a season best 54.09 seconds. Classmate
Jacy Pulse was right on her heels in 54.21 seconds. The pair's times, when converted for track size, rank second and third in the Summit. Junior
Caelyn Valandra-Prue finished third in 1:00.06.
Senior
Meredith Clark posted another solid mark in the women's shot put, winning the competition with a throw of 51-3 (15.62m).
Senior
Davion Williams improved his season best in the 60-meter hurdles to 8.13 seconds, winning the event. His time ranks fifth in USD program history. Sophomore

Jacob Horner took second and third, respectively.
On the women's side, junior
Averi Schmeichel posted a winning time of 8.59 seconds. YellowMule added to her runner-up high jump finish by taking second in the 60 hurdles.
The men's high jump competition came down to attempts with three men clearing the final height of 6-10 ¼ (2.09m). Junior
Joe Lynch secures the event title, sophomore
Landon Olson takes second and alumnus Zack Anderson finishes third.
For the third time in as many meets, junior
Erin Kinney won the 60-meter dash. She clocked 7.47 seconds to runner-up teammate, Pulse's 7.75 seconds.
Senior
Dylan Kautz edged out his teammates to win the men's 60-meter dash in 6.84 seconds. Classmates
Ardell Inlay and
Johnson Adegbite finished second and third, respectively. Inlay clocked 6.86 seconds and Adegbite posted a time of 6.97 seconds.
South Dakota also swept the 4x200-meter relays. The quartet of junior

Anna Robinson posted a time of 1:40.85. The time is just off last year's school record 1:40.69 and is the second-fastest relay time in school history.

Jaden Guthmiller won the men's 4x200-meter relay in 1:32.91. It marks the 10th-fastest relay time in USD history.
A pair of newcomers swept the women's and men's mile races for the Coyotes. Freshman
Alexis Pagel, the Coyotes' fifth runner for the Summit championship cross country squad, won the women's race in 5:12.81. Sophomore transfer
Carson Lauterbach, who led the Coyotes throughout the fall cross country season, won the men's mile in 4:20.37.
Neil won the women's long jump in addition to the 4x200-meter relay. She leaped a season best 18-7 ¼ (5.67m).
Schwenn took first in the men's long jump with a leap of 23-7 ¼ (7.19m) with Staehr in second (22-9 ¼, 6.94m) and Green in third (22-8 ½, 6.92m).
Nikkel won the men's open 400 meters in 50.01 seconds with sophomore

South Dakota is back in Nebraska next weekend for the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
