One of six team captains … one of nine Coyotes who started all 11 games … began the year at outside linebacker and moved to middle linebacker ahead of conference play … became the second Coyote since joining the Missouri Valley to earn all-MVFC honors at linebacker (Tyler Starr) … finished as the Valley’s fourth-leading tackler with 106 stops, which includes 60 solo tackles … became the second Coyote since 2000 to record 100 tackles in a single year … ranked 21^st nationally in total tackles … also had 3.5 tackles-for-loss, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries … had a career-high 16 tackles against Southern Illinois (11/5), most by a Coyote since 2012 … backed it up with 14 tackles the following week against 12^th-ranked South Dakota State (11/12) … recovered a fumble in the red zone which led to the winning points of the Coyotes’ win against Illinois State (10/22) … forced and recovered a fumble that led to a Coyote touchdown against fourth-ranked North Dakota State (11/19) … was USD’s leading tackler in seven of 11 games … also credited with three pass breakups and four quarterback hurries ... MVFC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award winner … MVFC Conference Honor Roll member

Launched a season best of 187-9 in the javelin to finish runner-up at the USD vs. SDSU Dual … took second in the javelin with a throw of 177-2 at the USD Twilight … placed 13th in the javelin at the Drake Relays … made the Summit League honor roll.

One of 39 Coyotes who competed in all 11 games … competed mainly on special teams and as a reserve defensive back … finished as the 10^th-leading tackler on the team with 24 stops including 14 solo tackles … led the Coyotes with eight tackles on special teams … credited with one pass breakup … totaled four tackles in three different games ... MVFC Honor Roll member

Placed sixth in the javelin at the Summit League Championships … sent the javelin a season-best 189-4 at the meet … moved to sixth in program record books … won the javelin at the Tulsa Duels in 178-10 … placed sixth in the javelin at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays.

One of 25 Coyotes who played in all 12 games … competed on special teams and as a reserve linebacker … was the eighth-leading tackler on the team with 41 stops, all but six of which were solo tackles … had 3.0 tackles-for-loss … delivered the blow that forced a fumble and led to a scoop and score for the Coyotes near the end of the game against William Penn in the home opener (9/6) … led the Coyotes with 11 tackles on special teams … had seven tackles (all solo) against UNI (10/11) … had six tackles (all solo) against Western Illinois (11/8) … had seven tackles (five solo) against national champion North Dakota State (10/25).

Finished ninth in the javelin at the Summit League Championships with a throw of 180-4 … launched a season best javelin throw of 182-5 to win the Tulsa Duels … placed third in the javelin at the Dakota Duals and Howard Wood Dakota Relays … ranks seventh in school history in the javelin (182-5).

2013-14
Football
One of nine Coyotes who earned time as a true freshman … played in all 12 games, mainly on special teams … finished with 14 tackles, 10 solo, including a team-high eight special-teams tackles.

Prep
First-Team All-State selection at the 6A level and a Shrine Bowl participant ... made 70 tackles (11 for loss), broke up 11 passes and intercepted three more as a senior ... garnered first-team All-City and first-team All-Metro selections ... recorded 85 tackles (15 for loss), six interceptions and five pass breakups for the Class 6A State Championship as a junior ... Track letterwinner at Wichita Heights ... led basketball team to two state championship titles.
