COLUMBIA, Mo. – Day one of the Dr. Rich McGuire saw two South Dakota Indoor Track and Field indoor school records fall and a third was tied inside Hearnes Center Fieldhouse Friday.

Both distance medley relay squad broke the indoor school record Friday. First, in the women's DMR, the squad of
Calia Chaney,
Berkeley Engelland,
Ellie Thomas, and
Alexus Sindelar ran 11:33.59 to win the event and set the school record by nearly three second.
Mason Sindelar,
Andrew Atwood,
Tommy Hensley, and
Isaac Ochoa ran 9:47.64, placing third in the event and setting the school record by over two seconds.

Marleen Mülla matched her indoor school record of 14-11 (4.55m) to win the women's pole vault. Her performance ranks second in the NCAA so far this season.
TOP PERFORMERS
• The women's DMR team (Chaney, Engelland, Thomas, Sindelar) broke the indoor school record previous set in 2024. Engelland ran in last spring's outdoor distance medley school record.
• The men's DMR team (Sindelar, Atwood, Hensley, Ochoa) broke the indoor school record previous set in 2007. Sindelar and Hensley ran on last spring's outdoor distance medley school record.
•
Marleen Mülla improved on her season's best result for a third straight week, matching her indoor best of 14-11 (4.55m). That clearance is second in the NCAA this spring. It is also a venue and meet record.
•
Delaney Smith's 67-1 ¼ (20.45m) ranks 23
rd in the NCAA this spring and is the top performance in the Summit League so far.
•
Matayah YellowMule's 19-8 (5.99m) performance in the long jump was enough for her to win the event by 10 inches, and set a personal best that ranks fourth indoor school history.
•
Rylie Hansen was the runner-up in the pole vault for the Coyote women with a personal best 13-1 ½ (4.00m).
• Three South Dakota women's hurdlers qualified for the 60-meter hurdle finals, and three sprinters made the finals in the 60-meters.
Sophie Amin qualified in both events.
• Two Coyote men took the top two 60-meter hurdle time in the prelims to advance to Saturday's final, including
Jaden Damiano's top time of 7.92.
Ethan Baessler advanced to the men's 60-meter final.
• Three Coyote women competed in the pentathlon Friday, led by
Bre Dunn's ninth place finish with 3,412 points.
Aubrey O'Hare (16
th) and Katelyn Langford (17
th) also competed.
• Men's heptathlon competition continues into Saturday, but through four events,
Townsend Barton is eighth and
Aidan Hedderman 10
th in the standings.
