One of seven true freshmen who earned playing time throughout the season … competed in 12 of 13 games and earned 11 starts along the defensive line … missed the final game of the season due to injury … named to the first team of both the Phil Steele Freshman All-America Team and the HERO Sports Freshman All-America Team … named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team … finished with 23 tackles including 5.0 sacks and 8.0 tackles for loss … was also credited with five quarterback hurries … had a season-high seven tackles including 2.0 sacks and 3.0 TFL against UNI (11/4) … had four tackles including a sack and 2.5 TFL against Indiana State (10/14)
