Frank Margolin, a native of Hawarden, Iowa, is recognized as one of the top running backs in South Dakota history. He starred for the Coyotes from 1922-24, earning letters all-three seasons. One of Margolin's most memorable performances was his final game against Morningside when he rushed for over 200 yards and scored four touchdowns. "Maggie" practiced law for three and a half years in New York City before moving his offices to Sioux City, Iowa in 1930. He earned the reputation as one of Iowa's finest trial attorneys.
