Henry Kersten, originally of McIntosh, SD, is generally regarded as one of the great tackles in Coyote school history. The 1926 yearbook says, "His loss to the team next fall will mean more than a vacancy to replace, for Kersten assisted as line coach and radiated an air of 'We can't be beaten'". Kersten was named to all-North Central Conference teams in 1922 and 1924.
